A Realistic Sunday Reset for Working Moms (The 15-Minute Version)
Skip the two-hour reset. This 15-minute version front-loads the five decisions that actually make a working mom's week easier.

A Realistic Sunday Reset for Working Moms (The 15-Minute Version)
Let's be honest about Sundays
Every September, Pinterest tries to sell us the two-hour Sunday reset: fridge meal prep in matching glass containers, a color-coded calendar hour, journaling by candlelight. If you have small humans in your house, you have probably attempted it once, abandoned it by 9:40 a.m., and filed the whole concept under "for other people."
This version is different. It takes fifteen minutes, it survives interruptions, and it does the one thing that actually changes a week: front-loading five small decisions.
The fifteen minutes
Minutes 1-3 — the calendar scan. Open the family calendar for the week. You are not planning; you are just spotting the collisions — the dentist appointment that overlaps pickup, the half day you forgot. Move one thing now and save three texts on Wednesday.
Minutes 4-6 — the five outfits. Not a capsule wardrobe. Five tops you feel good in, hung where you can see them. Decision fatigue is real, and mornings are its peak season.
Minutes 7-9 — the grocery threshold. Not a full shop — just check the three things that run out: milk, coffee, the one snack that prevents the 5 p.m. meltdown. Order them now.
Minutes 10-12 — one sink load. A running dishwasher at 8 p.m. Sunday is a gift to Monday-morning you.
Minutes 13-15 — the brain dump. Every open loop in your head, onto paper or a notes app. Not a to-do list. A parking lot, so your brain stops rehearsing it at 2 a.m.
Why fifteen beats two hours
A reset you actually do outranks a reset you admire. Fifteen minutes fits in the gap between weekend and week — and fifteen minutes, every Sunday, is a hundred small decisions your future self never has to make in a hurry.
Here's to a gentler Monday.
